Husband's delicious spontaneous creation became an instant hit!
Ingredients:
2cups soy sauce
1cupWorcestershire sauce
1cupcranberry-grape juice
1cupteriyaki sauce (such as Soy Vay®)
1tablespoonhot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
2tablespoons steak sauce (such as A1®)
1cuplight brown sugar
0.5 teaspoongroundblack pepper, or to taste
2pounds flank steak, cut into 1/4 inch slices against the grain
4cups wood chips, or as needed
Instructions:
Combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cranberry-grape juice, teriyaki sauce, hot sauce, steak sauce, brown sugar, and black pepper in a bowl. Transfer mixture into a resealable plastic bag. Add flank steak, coat with marinade, remove excess air, seal bag, and refrigerate for 8 to 10 hours.
Take out the flank steak from the marinade and gently pat off the extra liquid. Transfer the flank steak to the smoker racks, ensuring the meat is in a single layer without overlapping.
Smoke the jerky on the racks in the smoker following the manufacturer's instructions, using 4 pans of wood chips (1 pan per hour) until the jerky is dry and breaks when bent, which should take 6 to 8 hours.
