Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1.25 cups cake flour
  • 1.75 cups white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Whisk egg whites until fluffy peaks form, then gently fold in cream of tartar, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  • Sift flour, sugar, and salt 5 times in total.
  • Carefully incorporate the flour mixture into the fluffy beaten egg whites.
  • Gently transfer the batter into a 10-inch tube pan without greasing it.
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and bake the cake in a cold pan for around 1 hour, or until golden brown.
  • Cool the cake in the tube pan, then gently invert to remove once at room temperature.
  • Top with fresh strawberries for a colorful and refreshing finishing touch.
