Teriyaki chicken skewers with salad

Ingredients:
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) teriyaki marinade
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • 2 small red chillies, deseeded, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 15g pkt sesame seeds
  • 36.80 gm vegetable oil or canola oil
  • 12 (about 1.2kg) chicken wings
  • 150g salad leaves
  • 4 bread rolls, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine teriyaki marinade, honey, chillies, garlic, sesame seeds, and 1 tablespoon of oil in a screw-top jar. Shake vigorously until fully mixed.
  • Remove the tips from the chicken wings and discard. Skewer 3 chicken wings on each of the skewers. Place them in a large shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken and brush to coat. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes or longer.
  • Preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill the chicken wings, turning occasionally, for 20-25 minutes or until fully cooked. Serve with lettuce and bread rolls.
