Try this mouthwatering Thai beef salad for a crowd-pleasing family meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 beef sirloin steaks, trimmed
  • 42.00 gm lime juice
  • 24.40 gm fish sauce
  • 1 long red chilli, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 8.00 gm brown sugar
  • 125g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 125.00 ml mint leaves
  • 82.50 ml coriander leaves
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat a stovetop grill over high heat. 2. Brush the steak lightly with oil and place it on the grill. Grill for 3 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is achieved. 3. Remove the steak from the grill and keep it warm. 4. In a small bowl, mix lime juice, fish sauce, chili, and brown sugar until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix cherry tomatoes, mint, coriander, cucumber, and onion. Drizzle with lime juice mixture and toss gently. Slice the steak and add to the salad, tossing until well coated. Serve promptly.
