Ingredients:
  • 500g thick beef or pork sausages
  • 5 chat potatoes, washed and quartered
  • 1 large red onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 250.00 ml plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 257.50 gm milk
  • 23.40 gm grain mustard
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat your oven to a toasty 200°C. 2. Get cozy with your sausages, potatoes, and onion in a 26cm x 19cm ovenproof dish. 3. Drizzle with oil and mix it up until everything is well coated. 4. Pop it in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until those sausages get nice and golden brown.
  • In a bowl, create a well in the center of the sifted flour. Mix together egg and milk, then blend into the flour. Stir in mustard and season to taste.
  • Spread the batter evenly over the sausage mixture and gently shake the dish to distribute it. Bake for an additional 40-45 minutes until the batter is golden and puffy. Cut into squares and optionally serve with steamed shredded cabbage.
