Elevate bread pudding with decadent flavors like dark chocolate, orange, and cinnamon.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons grated orange zest
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 2 ounces dark chocolate, grated
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
  • Combine the white and brown sugars in a small bowl.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, combine half of the sugar mixture with butter, orange zest, orange juice, and cinnamon. Spread the butter mixture onto one side of each bread slice. Cut the bread slices in half diagonally and arrange the triangles in an overlapping pattern, buttered side down, in an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  • In a blender, combine the leftover sugar, grated chocolate, milk, cream, and eggs until well blended. Pour the chocolate mixture evenly over the bread. Refrigerate the dish for 1 hour before serving.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Bake the bread pudding until it turns a delicious golden brown and is fully set, which should take about 30 to 40 minutes.
