Turkey "Cranwiches"

15-minute warm cranberry turkey sandwiches - quick, delicious dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 2 slices (3/4 ounce each) Colby, Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese, cut into halves
  • 1/4 cup cranberry-orange sauce or relish
  • 6 ounces thinly sliced cooked turkey
  • 4 slices firm-textured wheat or rye bread
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
Instructions:
  • On 2 slices of bread, create a delicious stack by evenly layering half of the cheese, sauce, and turkey. Place the remaining bread slices on top. Generously spread about half of the butter on the top slices of bread.
  • In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, lay down the sandwiches with the buttered side facing down. Spread butter on the top slices of bread. Cook uncovered for around 5 minutes until golden brown. Flip the sandwiches and cook for an additional 2 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
