Celebrate Persian New Year with rose water and cardamom scented marzipan in the shape of mulberries.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar, or more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons rose water, or more as needed
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons raw pistachios
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, mix almond flour, powdered sugar, and cardamom. Gradually add rose water while gently kneading until a non-sticky soft dough forms. Taste, adjust sweetness with more powdered sugar, and fine-tune rose water to your preference.
  • Take a 1/2 teaspoon of dough and mold it into a ball, shaping it into a cone resembling a mulberry or any desired shape. Coat it in white sugar. Repeat this process with the rest of the dough.
  • Finely chop pistachios to resemble stems. Top each "tut" piece with a pistachio sliver.
