Savory cornbread fritters made with seasoned salt and fried to crispy perfection for a simple 4-ingredient delight.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 dash seasoned salt
Instructions:
  • Warm oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat and boil water in a saucepan.
  • In a bowl, combine cornmeal and slowly pour boiling water while stirring until smooth. Then, mix in seasoned salt.
  • Spoon the batter into the hot oil and fry until edges are golden brown, approximately 5 minutes. Flip the bread, flatten with a spatula, and continue frying until cooked through and edges are golden brown, about another 5 minutes. Drain on a paper towel.
