Cold zabaglione lightened with whipped cream.
Ingredients:
  • 7 egg yolks
  • 0.5 cup Marsala wine
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped to stiff peaks
Instructions:
  • Fill a large saucepan with water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to a strong simmer. Place egg yolks, Marsala wine, and sugar in a metal mixing bowl over the simmering water. Whisk constantly until the zabaglione becomes pale yellow and thickens to a soft whipped cream consistency.
  • Transfer the zabaglione to a clean mixing bowl set over ice, stirring occasionally until chilled. Then gently fold in the whipped cream.
