Spicy yogurt-marinated salmon with cayenne, ginger, and garlic broiled to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup fat-free plain yogurt
  • 0.5 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (2 inch) pieces fresh ginger root, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander seed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 4 (6 ounce) skinless, boneless salmon fillets
Instructions:
  • In a resealable plastic bag, mix yogurt, cayenne pepper, garlic, ginger, cilantro, ground coriander, cumin, salt, and turmeric until evenly combined. Add salmon, coat well with the marinade, seal the bag, and refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight.
  • Warm up the broiler and lightly grease a baking pan.
  • Take the salmon out of the marinade, letting excess drip off. Arrange on the baking sheet and broil in the oven until the salmon easily flakes with a fork, about 5 to 7 minutes per side.
