Tender Chinese green beans stir-fried with garlic in a sweet and savory sauce for a crispy and flavorful side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon oil, peanut or sesame
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Prepare all ingredients.
  • In a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil until shimmering. Add garlic and cook until edges start to brown, about 20 seconds.
  • Toss in fresh green beans and sauté them until they start to tenderize, which should take around 5 minutes.
  • Combine the umami-rich oyster sauce, sweet sugar, and savory soy sauce into the mixture.
  • Continue to stir the beans until they reach your preferred level of tenderness, which should take approximately 2 to 4 minutes.
