Upgrade your basic white bread by ditching the bread machine instructions and incorporating lard and cinnamon for extra flavor. Just layer the ingredients and you're ready to bake!
Ingredients:
  • 7 fluid ounces warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 tablespoons lard
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 2.75 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Disregard the bread machine instructions. Add warm water and lard to the bread machine pan. Sprinkle in the yeast, followed by adding flour and salt. Optionally, include cinnamon. Choose a cycle and start the machine.
