Whip up a delightful banana cake with creamy frosting - quick, easy, and irresistible!
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 0.66666668653488 cup buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a perfect 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then generously grease and flour two 8-inch round pans.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and whisk until well blended; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whip together white sugar, brown sugar, and butter until light and fluffy. Incorporate eggs one at a time. Blend in mashed bananas. Alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Fold in chopped walnuts and pour batter into prepared pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cake springs back when gently pressed.
  • Transfer the cake layers out of the oven and onto a moist tea towel to cool.
