Crispy air fryer French toast drizzled with sweet condensed milk sauce for a delightful breakfast treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf day-old unsliced white bread
  • 8 eggs
  • 250ml (1 cup) milk
  • 20.00 gm caster sugar
  • 2.50 gm ground cinnamon
  • 8.80 gm vanilla extract
  • 60g butter, melted
  • 395g can condensed milk
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) pure cream
Instructions:
  • Trim the crust off the bread with a serrated knife. Slice the bread into 3cm pieces, then cut each piece into 3cm-thick fingers.
  • In a shallow dish, vigorously whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until fully combined. Cut a sheet of baking paper to fit the base of the air fryer, then use a small, sharp knife to make holes in the paper. Place the paper on your work surface.
  • Dip 3 slices of bread into the egg mixture for 1 minute per side. Gently remove, allowing any extra mixture to drip off. Transfer the bread to a paper and then place in the air fryer basket.
  • Preheat air fryer to 180C. After 3 minutes, remove carefully. Lightly brush tops with melted butter, then flip and brush the other side. Place back in the air fryer and cook for another 3 minutes. Repeat process with the rest of the bread, egg mixture, and melted butter.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, gently combine condensed milk, cream, butter, and vanilla until the butter melts and the mixture is well combined. Drizzle the sauce over the French toasts before serving.
