Air-fried sweet and sticky chicken wings with a perfect balance of sourness for a deliciously crispy finish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds party chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.66666668653488 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
Instructions:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for ultimate cooking perfection.
  • In a large bowl, coat the wings with oil and salt, ensuring even distribution. Arrange half of the wings in the air fryer basket with the skin side facing down.
  • Air fry the wings for 10 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. Use tongs to flip the wings and continue cooking for another 10 minutes. Increase the temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), flip the wings again, and cook for an additional 5 minutes until they reach the desired crispiness. Repeat the process with the remaining wings.
  • Combine sugar, vinegar, water, soy sauce, cornstarch, and ketchup in a saucepan. Whisk over medium-high heat until the sauce thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  • Place the wings in a spacious bowl and generously coat them with the savory sauce before serving promptly.
