Elevate store-bought croissants with luscious almond paste for a decadent treat.
Ingredients:
  • 150g butter, softened
  • 75g icing sugar
  • 80.00 ml (1/3 cup) flour
  • 200.00 gm almond meal
  • 1 tsp almond essence
  • 2 x 3pk Croissants
  • 82.50 ml almonds (skin on), sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 170°C.
  • In a food processor, combine butter, sugar, flour, almond meal, and essence until smooth. Split croissants in half, place bases on a baking tray, and spread with almond paste, saving 1/4 of the mixture. Top with croissant halves, spread with the rest of the paste, sprinkle with almonds, and bake for 10 minutes. Serve by dusting with icing sugar.
