Gelatin, water, sugar, milk, and almond extract combine to create a delicious Chinese dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 (.25 ounce) envelopes unflavored gelatin powder
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons almond extract
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, gently pour 1 cup of water and sprinkle the gelatin over it. Stir until the gelatin begins to dissolve slightly. Set aside.
  • Boil 1 cup water in a large saucepan. Lower heat and gently stir in gelatin. Mix in milk, sugar, and almond extract until fully dissolved; transfer to a shallow container. Chill until set, for 3 to 4 hours. Cut into bite-sized squares before serving.
