Whip up a delicious apple salad with greens, nuts, and a zesty dressing - the perfect side dish for any meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 large bunch romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces (about 10 cups)
  • 1 bag (6 oz) fresh baby spinach leaves
  • 1 cup crumbled blue or Gorgonzola cheese (4 oz)
  • 1 cup walnut halves, toasted
  • 2 red apples, cut into bite-size pieces
Instructions:
  • Combine all dressing ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Set aside; the dressing will be thick.
  • Combine all the salad ingredients in a spacious bowl. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and mix well to ensure everything is evenly coated. Serve promptly for the best taste and freshness.
