Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water
  • 0.33333334326744 cup fish sauce
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped green onion
  • 0.25 cup minced jalapeno pepper, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine brown sugar, water, fish sauce, green onion, jalapeno pepper, soy sauce, and garlic in a bowl, creating a delicious flavor fusion.
  • In a hot skillet, sear the chicken in olive oil until golden on all sides, approximately 3 minutes per side.
  • Pour a portion of the brown sugar mixture into the skillet and cook on high heat until thickened and caramelized, about 5 minutes. Add the rest of the mixture and simmer until the chicken is cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for an additional 5 minutes to thicken further.
