Savory ground chicken, crunchy water chestnuts, and fresh green onions tossed in a zesty hoisin sauce, creating delicious Asian lettuce wraps.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced
  • 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and diced
  • 0.25 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 0.75 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 8 leaves Bibb lettuce, or more as needed
Instructions:
  • Set aside a small portion of green onions for garnish. Mix the rest of the green onions with water chestnuts, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, Sriracha, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté onion until softened for about 5 minutes. Then add ground chicken, garlic, and sesame oil. Cook and stir until the chicken is crumbly and cooked through for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Pour the flavorful hoisin mixture into the skillet and gently heat for approximately 5 minutes. Season deliciously with salt and pepper.
  • Spoon the flavorful chicken mixture into crisp lettuce leaves and garnish with the rest of the green onions for an extra burst of flavor.
