Indulgent chicken dish with a Dijon mustard twist made effortlessly with Chicken Helper® fettuccine Alfredo mix.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 can (4 oz) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
  • 1 box Chicken Helper™ fettuccine Alfredo
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 box (9 oz) frozen asparagus cuts, thawed, drained
Instructions:
  • Heat butter in a 10-inch skillet over high heat. Cook chicken, onion, and mushrooms for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken turns white on the outside.
  • Combine the sauce mix pouch from the Chicken Helper box with hot water, milk, and mustard in a pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add the uncooked pasta pouch from the Chicken Helper box, then lower the heat. Cover and simmer for approximately 10 minutes, stirring frequently until the pasta is tender.
  • Stir in fresh asparagus, cover, and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, uncover, and let stand for about 5 minutes until the sauce reaches your desired thickness (it will thicken on its own). Give it a final stir before serving.
