Indulgent main course with a touch of Dijon mustard made effortlessly with Chicken Helper® fettuccine Alfredo mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 can (4 oz) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
  • 1 box Chicken Helper™ fettuccine Alfredo
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 box (9 oz) frozen asparagus cuts, thawed, drained
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over high heat. Add chicken, onion, and mushrooms. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the outside of the chicken turns white.
  • Combine the sauce mix from the Chicken Helper box with hot water, milk, and mustard. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add the uncooked pasta from the Chicken Helper box, then reduce the heat. Cover and simmer for approximately 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the pasta is tender.
  • Add the asparagus and cook covered for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let stand uncovered for about 5 minutes until the sauce reaches your desired thickness (it will thicken naturally). Stir well before serving.
