Savory pork chops topped with caramelized apples and onions for a cozy and delicious dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup peeled and thinly sliced baking apples (preferably Cortland)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • 1 pinch brown sugar, or to taste
  • 3 pork chops
  • 1 pinch paprika, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • In a skillet, sauté onion, apple, olive oil, vinegar, thyme, and rosemary over medium heat until the onion is lightly caramelized and the apples are tender, approximately 15 minutes. Sweeten with brown sugar to your liking. Keep warm.
  • Place pork chops in a skillet, generously season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Drizzle with vinegar and olive oil. Cook over medium heat until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. Ensure internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) with a thermometer.
  • Place the pork chops on a elegant serving dish and generously spoon the flavorful apple-onion topping over them. Serve promptly to enjoy while warm.
