Indulgent blue cheese and crispy bacon meet creamy avocado in a flavorful guacamole perfect for any occasion. Enjoy with chips, veggies, or as a delicious topping on burgers and steaks!
Ingredients:
  • 5 slices bacon, preferably thick cut
  • 3 large ripe avocados
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons red or white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup red onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Dash hot pepper sauce, such as Tabasco
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese, divided
  • Salt to taste
  • For serving:
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pretzel chips
  • Saltines
Instructions:
  • Fry the bacon: Arrange bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until crispy, about 5 to 10 minutes, flipping occasionally. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Once cooled, crumble and set aside.
  • Prepare the avocados: Cut them in half lengthwise, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until desired consistency is achieved.
  • Enhance the flavors: Incorporate 2 teaspoons of vinegar, along with the garlic powder and hot pepper sauce; thoroughly combine. Set aside 1 tablespoon of bacon and blue cheese for garnish, then carefully fold the remaining ingredients into the guacamole. Sample the guacamole on a chip or cracker, then season with salt to taste. If it lacks depth, introduce an additional 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of vinegar.
  • Serve the guacamole in a beautiful bowl and top with the remaining blue cheese and bacon. Enjoy within 2 hours for the freshest taste, or store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a day.
