Grandma-style pineapple casserole: quick and simple with pantry staples.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 5 slices white bread, torn
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a medium casserole dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together sugar and butter using an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, followed by cinnamon and nutmeg. Gently fold in crushed pineapple and bread until well combined. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown and bubbly, approximately 1 hour.
