Delicious vanilla rice pudding with warm spices and plump raisins, served with extra cream for a comforting dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup raisins
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, combine rice and water, bring to a boil, then simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Add cooked rice and raisins, then transfer the mixture to a 10x6x2 inch baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, then stir pudding and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, about 30 more minutes.
