Baked clam shells loaded with crab, clams, and breadcrumbs for a gourmet treat. Perfect for entertaining or a tasty snack anytime.
Ingredients:
  • 24 Clean Clam Shells
  • 2 (6.5 ounce) cans minced clams, drained with juice reserved
  • 1 (6 ounce) can crab meat, drained
  • 4 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup minced sweet onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped Italian flat leaf parsley
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • lemon pepper to taste
  • paprika to taste
  • 2 lemons, quartered
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) for that perfect cook.
  • 1. In a large frying pan over medium heat, melt butter and olive oil together until sizzling. Add onion and sauté until translucent. Add clams, crab meat, parsley, lemon pepper, and bread crumbs, then stir to combine. 2. Reduce heat to low and slowly add clam juice until the mixture is slightly sticky but not wet. Be cautious not to overdo it, as the bread crumbs will absorb more liquid over time.
  • Pack each pristine clam shell with the delectable mixture, ensuring it is firmly packed. Place them elegantly on a baking sheet, and delicately dust them with paprika. (Stuffed shells can be covered and frozen for future enjoyment.)
  • Place in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until beautifully golden and sizzling. If frozen, bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes, or until heated through. Serve warm on a platter with fresh lemon wedges.
