Classic stuffed cabbage rolls: Savory beef and rice filling enveloped in cabbage leaves, baked in a luscious tomato soup sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 0.75 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
Instructions:
  • Freeze the cabbage head overnight. Thaw and peel away leaves before using.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • In a bowl, mix together the beef, egg, onion, rice, salt, and pepper until well combined. Shape a small handful into a roll or ball. Place it in the center of a cabbage leaf, fold the sides over, and roll it up. Put the roll seam side down in a baking dish. Repeat with the remaining filling until it's all used up.
  • Combine the soup with 1/2 can of water, then drizzle it over the stuffed cabbage.
  • Roast at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour, continuously basting with the sauce.
