Whip up a decadent treat by layering homemade caramel over sliced bananas, then drizzle over ice cream for a delicious dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup superfine sugar
  • 1.25 cups heavy cream
  • 4 bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise
Instructions:
  • In a large, heavy skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add sugar and cook until melted and light brown, stirring constantly. Carefully pour in the cream; the mixture will bubble up.
  • Allow the mixture to come to a boil for 1 minute, then lower the heat. Gently place the bananas in the pan and heat through for about 2 minutes. Serve while hot.
