Indulge your loved one with a gourmet steak and potato salad delight.
Ingredients:
  • 4 anchovy fillets
  • 1 small clove garlic, crushed
  • 50g butter, softened
  • 40.00 ml red wine vinegar
  • 1 small Spanish onion, thinly sliced into rings
  • 4 x 250g scotch fillet steaks
  • 400g kipfler potatoes, washed, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 2 bunches flat-leaf parsley, washed, leaves picked
  • 20 kalamata olives, pitted, halved
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine anchovies and garlic, mashing them to a paste using a fork. Stir in half of the lemon juice, then add butter. Season with pepper to taste and mix thoroughly. In a separate bowl, pour vinegar over onion. Let it sit.
  • 1. Preheat a barbecue or char-grill plate until sizzling. Lightly brush steaks with oil and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side to your preferred doneness. Rest in a warm spot. In the meantime, boil potatoes in salted water for 3-5 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  • Mix together the potatoes, onion mixture, remaining lemon juice and oil, parsley, and olives in a bowl until well combined. Serve the steaks with the salad, topped with anchovy butter.
