Grill Australian-style Christmas turkey served with cranberry relish.
Ingredients:
  • 8 turkey breast steaks
  • 250.00 ml apple cider or apple juice
  • 84.38 gm maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp thyme leaves
  • 750.00 ml craisins
  • 180.00 gm brown sugar
  • 82.50 ml red wine vinegar
  • 40.00 gm water
  • 20.00 ml fresh ginger, grated
Instructions:
  • Lay the turkey steaks in a shallow dish.
  • Combine cider, syrup, oil, garlic, and thyme in a jug. Pour the mixture over the turkey and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, making sure to turn it occasionally.
  • For the cranberry relish: Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat while stirring. Lower the heat to simmer for 10-15 minutes. Let it cool before serving. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Preheat barbecue or char-grill on medium heat. Cook turkey for 8-10 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Serve with cranberry relish.
