Succulent turkey legs, pressure-cooked, broiled, and smothered in tangy barbecue sauce for a Renaissance Fair-inspired dish.
Ingredients:
  • 4 smoked turkey legs
  • 4 cups hot water
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
  • 2 cups barbeque sauce
Instructions:
  • In a 4 quart pressure cooker over medium-high heat, sear the turkey legs. Add enough water to cover them, then sprinkle chicken bouillon granules over the water, and stir. Seal the cooker, bring to full pressure, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven's broiler. Once the turkey is done cooking, release the pressure by running cold water over the cooker's top, then open the lid. Transfer the turkey legs to a broiling pan or roasting pan.
  • Broil the turkey legs until the skin is golden and crispy, for about 10-15 minutes. Brush with barbeque sauce towards the end of cooking. Serve with extra sauce on the side.
