Quick and flavorful stir fry recipe using tender beef, colorful vegetables, and a garlicky oyster sauce. Easily customizable with different proteins and veggies. Master your stir-fry skills with this easy, versatile dish.
Ingredients:
  • 27.30 gm peanut oil
  • 500g lean beef rump steak, cut across the grain into thin strips
  • 1 brown onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 1 large red capsicum, cut into short, thin strips
  • 125g pkt baby corn, halved lengthways
  • 1 bunch broccolini, cut into 4cm lengths
  • 20.00 gm water
  • 48.80 gm oyster sauce
  • 31.50 gm soy sauce
  • Coles White Medium Grain Rice, steamed, to serve
Instructions:
  • Prepare the wok by heating it over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and swirl to coat the sides, heating until very hot.
  • Heat the wok before adding the oil to prevent the oil from overheating and burning. The oil is ready when the beef sizzles upon adding it to the wok.
  • Add a portion of beef strips and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with the remaining beef in two more batches, making sure to reheat the wok each time. Remove all beef from the wok.
  • Cook the beef in batches to seal in the juices and prevent the meat from becoming tough. Avoid crowding the wok to maintain high heat.
  • In the wok, heat the rest of the oil over medium-high heat. Add onion, capsicum, corn, and broccolini. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Pour in the water, cover, and cook for 30-60 seconds until vegetables are tender.
  • Combine soy sauce, garlic, and oyster sauce in the wok, tossing well. Add beef and toss until heated through. Serve immediately with rice.
