Whip up rich and decadent homemade chocolate buttercream icing in minutes. Perfect for pairing with chocolate zucchini cake, muffins, or cupcakes.
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, divided
  • 0.33333334326744 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (16 ounce) package confectioners' sugar, sifted
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, use an electric mixer on low to beat butter and 1/4 cup cocoa powder until light and fluffy. Slowly mix in milk, the rest of the cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, about 2 tablespoons at a time, until you reach your preferred consistency.
