Tangy lime and fresh basil sorbet - a light, refreshing sweet treat post-meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.75 cup fresh lime juice
  • 20 fresh basil leaves, minced
Instructions:
  • Bring sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan to make a simple syrup. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Blend together the chilled simple syrup, lime juice, and fresh basil until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a container, cover it, and freeze until solid, approximately 2 hours.
  • Break up the frozen mixture, blend until smooth, then return to the container and freeze until serving.
