Elevate comfort food with decadent fettuccine stroganoff.
Ingredients:
  • 250g fettuccine
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 600g beef rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 20g butter
  • 1 large brown onion, thinly sliced
  • 200g button mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 10.00 gm paprika
  • 235.00 gm sour cream
  • 127.50 gm beef stock
  • 21.00 gm lemon juice
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • Boil fettuccine in salted water as per package instructions until tender, then drain.
  • Heat oil in a large, deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Brown the beef in batches for 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a bowl. Melt butter in the pan, then cook onion and garlic for 5 minutes until softened. Add mushrooms and cook for an additional 5 minutes until tender.
  • Sprinkle in the paprika and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Mix in the sour cream and stock, stirring over low heat until well combined, about 2 minutes. Add the beef back to the pan and stir to combine. Finish by stirring in the lemon juice.
  • Portion the pasta evenly into individual serving bowls. Top with a generous amount of the flavorful stroganoff mixture. Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh chives for a vibrant touch. Serve the delicious dish immediately.
