Tender beef and hearty mushrooms simmered in a flavorful blend of mustard, white wine, and sour cream for a delectable stroganoff.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 4 green onions, sliced (white parts only)
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1 (6 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 0.33333334326744 cup sour cream
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white wine
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Trim the chuck roast of any fat and gristle, then slice into strips measuring 1/2-inch thick by 2-inches long. Season generously with ½ teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of pepper.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, luxuriously melt butter. Add beef and swiftly sear to golden perfection.
  • Sepreate the beef to one side of the skillet, then add the onions to cook and stir for 3 to 5 minutes before pushing them to the side with the beef.
  • Combine flour with the juices in the pan and gradually pour in beef broth, bringing it to a boil while stirring continuously. Reduce heat, whisk in mustard, cover, and simmer for 1 hour until beef is tender.
  • Just before serving, gently mix in mushrooms, sour cream, and white wine. Heat until warmed; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Enjoy this delectable dish over a bed of perfectly cooked noodles.
