Impress your Thanksgiving guests with this crowd-pleasing recipe for marshmallow-topped candied yams, perfect for serving 20.
Ingredients:
  • 6 (29 ounce) cans yams in syrup, drained
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) package miniature marshmallows
  • aluminum foil
  • cooking spray
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and generously spray 2 sheets of aluminum foil with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, mash drained yams with a fork until smooth. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and heavy cream one by one, stirring well after each addition. Divide the mixture into two 8-inch square baking dishes. Sprinkle half of the marshmallows over each dish, then cover with aluminum foil, spray-side down.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an extra 5 minutes.
