Deliciously spiced oatmeal raisin cookies that fill your kitchen with holiday nostalgia as they bake.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup butter flavored shortening
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a spacious bowl, blend the butter, butter flavored shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt into the bowl; mix well with the sugar mixture. Fold in the oats and raisins. Spoon rounded teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake until golden for 10-12 minutes. Avoid overbaking. Cool for 2 minutes on cookie sheets, then transfer to airtight container once completely cooled. These treats disappear fast, so grab one while you can!
