Spicy sausage and cheesy salsa dip cooked low and slow, ideal for game day viewing on a chilly day.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (2 pound) loaf processed cheese (such as Velveeta®), cubed
  • 1 pound bulk spicy pork sausage
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar hot salsa
  • 0.5 cup hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)
  • 3 large jalapeno peppers, chopped
Instructions:
  • Slowly melt processed cheese in a slow cooker on the Low setting.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown and crumble the pork sausage for about 10 minutes, then drain off any excess grease.
  • Combine sausage and processed cheese in the slow cooker, then fold in salsa, hot sauce, and jalapeño peppers.
  • Simmer on low heat for 2 hours; serve piping hot.
