Beer, mustard, and honey-marinated pork roast slow-cooked to tender perfection for a flavorful meal worth savoring.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
  • 0.25 cup mustard, or to taste
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons crushed garlic, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 pounds pork picnic roast
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 1 onion, chopped
Instructions:
  • Combine beer, mustard, honey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, cayenne pepper, and salt in a bowl until honey is fully incorporated. Pour a portion of the marinade into a slow cooker, place the pork in, and pour the rest of the marinade over the pork. Refrigerate overnight, ensuring to turn the pork occasionally.
  • Slow cook pork on Low for 8 hours, basting occasionally. If needed, add water to keep the pork moist. Scatter onion around the pork and cook for an additional 2 hours until the pork is very tender.
  • Using two forks, delicately shred the succulent pork, ensuring to remove any unwanted fatty pieces. Place the shredded pork in a beautiful serving dish. Carefully skim off any excess onion from the slow cooker using a sieve, and gently incorporate it with the pork.
