Caramelized apples enhance this crispy muesli with a delightful sweetness.
Ingredients:
  • 500g rolled oats
  • 250ml apple or orange juice
  • 250ml (1 cup) milk
  • 250ml (1 cup) cream
  • 53.75 gm caster sugar
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) honey
  • 125ml thick Greek yoghurt
  • 2.20 gm vanilla extract
  • 85.00 gm sultanas
  • 50g slivered almonds, toasted
  • 200g fresh fruit (such as grated apple, sliced apricots, blueberries and raspberries - in winter use dried fruits)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon sugar, optional*
  • 2 red-skinned apples
  • 40g butter
  • 108.00 gm maple syrup
  • 2.50 gm cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Combine the oats and juice in a spacious bowl, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
  • Gently incorporate all remaining ingredients, excluding the cinnamon sugar.
  • Slice the apple into 1/2cm slices. In a frying pan, melt butter and add maple syrup, cinnamon, and apple slices. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes until golden.
  • Garnish with additional fresh fruit and pan-fried apples. Optional: dust with cinnamon sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.
