Italian great-grandma's tuna Parmesan: simple, tasty weeknight dinner tradition.
Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) jarstuna packed in oil, drained
1cupgratedParmesan cheese
1cupItalian-seasoned bread crumbs
1 large egg, beaten
0.25 cupolive oil
1 (8 ounce) canpasta sauce
Instructions:
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together tuna, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and egg until well combined. Shape the mixture into 7 delicious tuna patties.
In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear patties until lightly browned, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
Heat the pasta sauce in a separate skillet until it simmers. Then, gently place the tuna patties in the sauce, ensuring they are covered, and let them simmer for 10 minutes.
