Bohemian-Style Absinthe Cocktail

Create a classic New Orleans Bohemian absinthe cocktail.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2 fluid ounces absinthe
  • 4 fluid ounces cold water, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Position a sugar cube on an absinthe spoon or in a small strainer over a glass. Slowly drizzle absinthe over the sugar cube into the glass.
  • Ignite sugar cube to create a caramelized layer for 10 to 15 seconds. Gradually drizzle water over the sugar until it dissolves and the drink becomes opaque. Stir well to blend flavors.
