Indulge in irresistible Boozy Irish Whiskey Cakes made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Butter Recipe Yellow Cake Mix and a generous splash of authentic Irish whiskey. Treat yourself to a slice of decadence like no other!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons instant espresso coffee powder or granules
  • 2 tablespoons Irish whiskey
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Butter Recipe Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Irish whiskey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and generously coat 12 mini fluted tube cake pans with cooking spray.
  • Combine coffee powder and 2 tablespoons whiskey in a small microwavable bowl. Heat in microwave on High for about 10 seconds until warm; stir and set aside.
  • Combine cake mix, 1/2 cup butter, eggs, 2/3 cup water, and 1/4 cup whiskey in a large bowl. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds using an electric mixer. Incorporate the coffee mixture and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Divide batter evenly into cake pans.
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans onto cooling racks. Let them cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • Combine the sauce ingredients in a small heavy saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted.
  • Plate the cakes elegantly and generously drizzle them with the delectable sauce before serving.
