Boston baked beans

Ingredients:
9.20 gm olive oil
1 large brown onion, chopped
2garliccloves, crushed
250g rindless shortcut bacon, chopped
2 x 400g can Cannellini Beans, drained, rinsed
400g can diced tomatoes with oregano and basil
53.60 gm golden syrup
23.40 gm wholegrain mustard
24.40 gm worcestershire sauce
32.00 gm brown sugar
Choppedfresh flat-leaf parsley leaves, to serve
Crusty bread, to serve
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced.
- In a heavy-based, flameproof casserole dish, heat oil over medium-high heat.
- Sauté onion, garlic, and bacon until softened, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add beans, tomato, syrup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and 1 1/2 cups cold water.
- Bring to a boil, then cover and transfer dish to the oven.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
Uncover and gently stir. Bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes until sauce has thickened. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving alongside warm crusty bread.
