Brandy balls - perfect holiday treat with brandy or rum. Best made ahead, can be rolled in sugar or cocoa if preferred.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup brandy
  • 1 (16 ounce) package vanilla wafers, crushed very fine
  • 2 cups finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar for rolling
Instructions:
  • Melt chocolate chips with evaporated milk in the microwave or over a double boiler, stirring often until smooth.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and gently fold in the crushed vanilla wafers and brandy until fully combined.
  • Form the dough into bite-sized balls, coat them first in chopped walnuts, then in confectioners' sugar, and refrigerate while covered.
