Fall crisp with buttery oat topping, a delectable treat.
Ingredients:
  • 4 medium apples - peeled, cored and sliced
  • 0.5 pomegranate, skin and light-colored membrane removed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and generously butter a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Combine apples, pomegranate seeds, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl, then spread mixture evenly in the pan. In the same bowl, mix oats, flour, and sugar. Crumble in butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs, then sprinkle over the fruit.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the apples are soft. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve either warm or at room temperature.
