Whip up Brazilian chocolate truffles for a stunning party treat. Customize with coconut, pistachios, or sprinkles. Delicious and easy.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cans (14 oz each) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachio nuts
  • 1/3 cup chopped sliced almonds
  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/3 cup chocolate candy sprinkles
  • 1/3 cup colored candy sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Prepare a large shallow pan by greasing it with butter. In a 4-quart nonstick heavy saucepan, combine condensed milk, cocoa, and 2 tablespoons butter. Heat the mixture to boiling while stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue to cook for 10 to 15 minutes until the mixture thickens and becomes shiny, pulling away from the sides of the pan when tilted. Pour the mixture into the prepared shallow pan and allow it to cool completely, or refrigerate to expedite the firming process.
  • Prepare individual bowls for each ingredient. Use a teaspoon or melon baller to form truffle mixture into 1- to 1 1/2-inch balls. Coat each ball with pistachios, almonds, coconut, or sprinkles. Place in mini paper baking cups after rolling.
  • Keep covered in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to 1 week.
